Guys and girls covenant groups  meet during their trip to Moab, Utah

Here at Timberline, we deeply value real, intimate connections between staff and students. Students meet weekly in small groups, called Covenant groups, with one or two staff members, with the purpose to talk about life, discuss the things being learned in class, pray for each other, or go hang out at the resort or a coffee shop.

Here many sweet and life-changing interactions occur as staff and students alike encourage each other and learn what it looks like to be a follower of Jesus on the daily.

Life-On-Life discipleship is a central focus of Timberline's programming, and students will spend many hours in staff homes, sharing meals and seeing what it looks like to let Jesus into everyday routines and family dynamics. One girl Covenant and one guy Covenant join together to create a Family Group, led by a staff family that lives on campus. This group competes in events together, has breakfast on a regular basis in the family's home, and spends time simply hanging out.

"And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers."

Staff are heavily involved in our trips and off-campus activities. These have some of the most fun connection times between staff and students, building relationships and trust with godly leaders and showing students that life with Jesus is fun and exciting!

Staff aren't afraid to get down and dirty with the students, in fact, that's what we are here for. Whether it be hard, late-night conversations or getting physically dirty while they work shoulder-to-shoulder with students around campus or on global missions trips, the hard stuff is what the body of Christ is there for. We believe everyone is in process of becoming more and more like Christ and we are eager to let students into our personal journeys and guide them along theirs.
