ASCENT WEEK #3

JULY 28 - Aug. 2, 2024

Week Specifics: Esther

This week's Bible classes will be on the book of Esther!

A young girl becomes a Queen and saves a nation. The book of Esther is, without a doubt, one of the most famous stories in scripture. And why wouldn’t it be? There is everything you need to capture an audience: war, betrayal, hatred, unexpected twists, romance, and redemption! But it must be more than just a good story, right?

Join us for a week of teaching on the theme of “Identity” as we uncover truths about God that burst from the pages of a book that never once mentions His name!

Speaker:
Sam Hatfield

Sam Hatfield, a 2012 Timberline Alumni, is originally from North Carolina but has spent most of his adult life in Colorado. Sam and his wife Laura returned to join the staff in 2015 as one-year volunteers and have been at Timberline ever since. They now have three children, Floyd, Willa and Olive. Sam likes snowboarding, fly fishing, cooking, and most of all spending a quiet day at home with his family. As a Principal at Timberline Lodge, Sam is responsible for planning and facilitating everything relating to Bible School. He would say the best part about his job is the community dynamic between staff and students.
