Having already worked at Timberline in the past what made you decide to return? The main reason I decided to return is I felt that the Lord had opened the door for me to come back to serve Him here. Also I missed living life at Timberline with the staff and students as they take a year to study God’s word.

Where have you served with Torchbearers before coming to work at Timberline? I served at Bodenseehof, one year as a volunteer and two as a full-time housekeeper.

Having already worked with Torchbearers why did you decide to return to work at another center? I love the Torchbearers community and opportunity for deep relationship with staff and students.

What is your experience serving at Timberline? I served as a program/Bible school yearunteer for two years and then returned to Canada for a year. I'm stoked to be back as a full time staff on the Bible school team.
What are you excited about as staff at Timberline?I am excited to see how God is going to change the lives of the students and staff. I am also excited to see people step out of their comfort zone for Christ.

What is your history serving with Torchbearers? I worked at Capernwray Harbour for 7 years as head cook.
What do you like to cook/bake the most? I enjoy baking bread and making soups and sauces.
What are you most excited about as staff at Timberline? I'm most excited about being with students in the outdoors biking, hiking, and knitting. I am also looking forward to relearning how to ski with our kids.

Jeremy Reyes

How did you first hear about Torchbearers? God spent a few years giving me a deeper understanding of the gospel and how the resurrection life of Jesus is our daily heritage. Major Ian Thomas’s book The Saving Life of Christ was a big part of that journey.
Why did you decide to get involved at Timberline? While praying for a ministry and community that teaches Christ as our life, the Lord brought Timberline Lodge into view.
What is your favorite part of serving at Timberline? Timberline is a place where we get to walk and serve with a family of believers who deeply love each other and are willing to surrender their rights to Christ. While we are all imperfect, together we are able to say “Yes Lord Jesus, whatever you want…this place, and our lives are yours.” And this always makes life a grand adventure!
